We don’t want to scare people, but forewarned is forearmed, so please take care walking home from work in the early evening. Neighbourhood watch reports:
1. 19/11/07 between 17.15 – 17.45 on Sydenham Road. The female victim was walking home from work. She was approached from the rear, grabbed around the mouth and pulled to the floor. The attacker mentioned he had a knife but none was seen. Purse taken with cash/cards/keys
Suspect…… Black male 18-25 yrs, medium build, 5′ 8″ tall, clean shaven, dark clothing with a dark jacket with white piping on the front.
2. 20/11/07 18.48 hrs, on SomersetStreet/Spring Hill, The female victim was walking home from work, when she was approached from behind and her phone snatched. The male then said “give me your purse or I will shoot you”, NO WEAPON SEEN. Purse was handed over.
Suspect………black male, 5′ 9″ , mid twenties, clean shaven, dark hat, red puffa jacket, dark jeans/jacket.
