This Wednesday 22nd April, the Kingsdown Conservation Group has its AGM at St Matthew’s Church, Clare Road. Doors open at 7.30 for the start of the AGM at 8pm with a talk by Martin Davies afterwards. Entitled, ‘Duel at Dawn’, Martin’s talk describes the famous duel in 1809 in Bristol between Henry Smith and Richard Priest who died. Henry Smith then went on the run but was eventually persuaded to return home to face justice. A fascinating story.
There will be a bar operating and there will be plenty of time to talk about local issues and generally ‘catch up’.
Everyone Welcome
