Kingsdown 'Clean-up' days this Sunday & Monday

Bristol City Council is arranging a ‘Clean-Up’ Day, to tidy up the Kingsdown area.

This has been arranged because members of the local community highlighted this need as a priority at one of the previous PACT Meetings.

There will actually be two days, planned for Sunday 10 May and Monday 11 May.  The organisers are looking for as many members of the community as possible to join in, particularly with the ‘litter-pick’.  Equipment will be provided.

If anyone is interested in helping, please contact Trudy Feeney at BCC Waste Services on 0117 922 4724, or by email at tr**********@br*****.uk">tr**********@br*****.uk

The Sunday will also be a ‘Community Payback’ day.  Under the ‘Community Payback’ Scheme, local offenders conduct work within the community as part of a court sentence.  They will be performing a number of tasks, including clearance of undergrowth, litter picking, and general tidying.
