Dear Neighbour
Open afternoon at the Bristol Royal Children’s Hospital

I am delighted to announce that United Bristol Healthcare Trust is preparing to open the new £6m purpose built Children’s unit on Horfield Road.

Known as Ward 38, this addition to the Bristol Royal Children’s Hospital will have many benefits for patients, familes and staff including bedside beds for parents and a new play area. The new ward has the largest cubicles in the children’s hospital, each with en-suite bathroom facilities and is made up of 16 individual cubicles and one four-bed bay.

I would like to invite you to attend an open afternoon at the Bristol Royal Children’s Hospital to give you a preview of the new ward and meet some of the staff team. The event will take place on:

Sunday 25th March
2.00pm – 4.00pm
Meet at the reception area of the Bristol Royal Children’s Hospital Paul O’Gorman Building.

This is a drop in event. This means that you can turn up at any time between 2 and 4pm. There will be regular tours throughout the afternoon for you to join.

On a personal note, I am aware of the disruption which can be caused when new buildings are constructed. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your patience and understanding during the construction of Ward 38.

I very much hope you will be able to join us on the 25th March. If you have any questions about the event please contact Tony Watkin on 900 2389 or to*********@br********.uk
