Thank you to everyone who helped out last Saturday or who came and supported this new venture. The weather held out well for us, no rain or wind. Shirley Anne served us with a seemingly endless supply of scumptious bacon butties while Hilary Green and her team conjured up freshly made sweet and savoury Sri Lankan pancakes. Delicious cakes arrived from many directions, thank you to all who made them. Arne Ringner was a very efficient and skillful barista with a coffee machine borrowed from TwoDayCoffee (St Michael’s Hill) who also supplied for free most of the exceedingly good coffee – try out the El Salvadorian!
We were able to give £60 to ‘Coffee Kids’ charity (supported by TwodayCoffee) and also £402 to Medicine Sans Frontieres Syria Appeal as well as over £100 to the Sri Lankan charities.
The general consensus was that this ‘market’ and ‘brunch’ should happen again. The date in mind is Saturday 7th December – Look out for remainders on the web site or our noticeboards.

Well done to all involved!
How about mulled wine and mince pies in December?
Helen and your helpers. We enjoyed the event very much indeed, it was an excellent neighbourhood event. We were only sorry to have arrived too late to enjoy the bacon butties!! Delighted that the chosen Charities have done so well from your efforts.
